leeping accomodations at the Villa are sumptuous with feather beds and Egyptian cotton sheets in every room. The Woodlands Cottage sleeps 4 and in the Villa there are 3 guest bedrooms on the first floor.
Woodlands Cottage adjacent to the exercise gym and pool has a kitchen and living/dining room with a cozy wood stove TV w/DVD and queen size sofa bed. The bedroom with adjacent bath features a king size feather bed in rich cherrywood. You will love the views as there are windows everywhere overlooking the pool garden and Pescadero Canyon.
In the Villa the Bernhardt Garden Suite has a private bathroom with a view of the Jasmine garden. It features a Queen feather bed, marble sink & shower, and separate entrance from the patio adjacent to the spa.
The Iris Room features a queen size feather bed with an opaque draped canopy and English cottage furnishings with views of the fern garden and Skyline Ridge in the background.
The Horsemans Room, elegant but sporting, features a queen feather bed with rich pine furnishings. Sunset in this room is soothing with views of the Pescadero Canyon and adjacent redwood forest.
The Iris and Horsmans rooms share a bathroom with a separate vanity from the shower and an entrance through the billiards room.
t the Villa you can spend the evening relaxing in the Alponse Mucha Theater Room that features a 52" plasma screen with a selection of 300+ movies comfortably seating 7 with a chaise and foot rests; or you can try your aim on the pool table. The billards room houses an 8' pool table with fireplace for those foggy nights. It has a lovely rich cherrywood back bar with small refridgerator stocked with your favorite mixers and liquer of your choice from our shopping service. For background music there is a stereo for your ipod to enjoy your own music inside and out, or listen to the collection we have acquired over the years. On a warm night you might rather see the stars and sit at the fire pit on the patio, or in the hot tub for a late evening soak. On those special evenings our chef will often bring out his guitar for us to enjoy some campfire entertainment.
The entryway features limestone floors with a black marble border inlay and cabachons overlooked by a beautiful bronze titled 'Glory of the Seas' by the world famous sculptor Jerry Joslin.
he heart of the Villa is our kitchen and often your senses will be delighted with the aromas drifting from the scrumptous creations of our owner/chef. We have ample seating at the granite breakfast bar that gives everyone a front row seat into those special recipes. If you don't already have a kitchen like this, you'll certainly want one before you leave.
If your are interested in our shopping service, you may be served in the adjacent dining area. The dining table seats 10 with additional seating for 6 at the table in the living room. On warm summer days, meals are served on the veranda off the reception room with views of Monterey Bay.
The reception room features a stone fireplace surrounded with windows overlooking Monterey Bay, the horse stable and majestic redwood trees. The Villa has wi-fi throughout and your selection of music in the common areas including the cottage.
n the grounds of the Villa you'll find a beautifully landscaped patio garden perfect for summer parties, family reunions, weddings, or just afternoon lounging. It features a salt water swiming pool with automatic cover, fresh water spa and a large patio with stairs to the veranda. A few steps from the pool is a gym and the Woodlands Cottage with its own kitchen, living/dining area, bedroom, bath and private flagstone patio. The front Villa garden has been redone as an organic vegetable garden where we harvest fresh vegetables and fruits.
Between the front garden and the security gate is a 5 stall barn with a tack room and hay loft. Each stall has access to a shared paddock and you can choose full care board or self care. Below the barn across the private driveway is 40' round pen and riding arena measuring 60 by 120 feet. Skyline to the Sea Trail is at the base of the driveway with access to miles of scenic redwood forested trails.
