elcome to the Villa Montagne Bed, Breakfast & Stable. We are a seasonal resort, open mid April - mid October, located in the heart of California's Santa Cruz Mountain wine region and surrounded by over 35,000 acres of coastal redwood forests and state park lands. Guests can choose to venture out in the wilderness hiking, biking or horseback riding; enjoy the rich culture of the region, or relax in the luxurious setting of the Villa. The saltwater pool and spa are placed inside the forest perimeter enhanced by a lush garden landscape of local flora and vibrant flowers.

The Woodlands Cottage overlooks our rhododendron lined stone path and the Pescadero Canyon below. Expansive views of Monterey Bay to the south can be enjoyed from the pool patio and upper deck. Sunset ocean views and the redwood forested canyon below enhance your serenity while submerged in the villa spa.

The sumptuous gourmet kitchen will cater to your intimate al fresco dining on the veranda overlooking Monterey Bay.

At the Villa Montagne we've given special attention to equestrians. Guests are encouraged to bring their own horses but we also have horses available for experienced riders on a full or half day lease. With a five stall barn, attached paddocks, four 12' x 24' pipe corrals, and full size arena, it makes a perfect staging area for day rides in Big Basin, Castle Rock, Portolla state parks or Rancho Del Oso on the coast. The Swanton/Pacific 100 mile endurance ride has crossed the estate on the world famous Skyline to the Sea Trail, which provides direct access to hundreds of miles for riding and hiking.

We are very concious of environmental issues at the Villa and have our own solar array and local well. From our organic garden we select strawberries for your breakfast and vegetables for meals made with natural ingredients. We raise our own flock of Heritage Turkeys that are naturally fed and free ranged.
